I'm hanging in there and appreciate your friendship.Saquel25https://www.blogger.com/profile/09669257346895962219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1835637200322761822.post-63096260023689312832008-09-30T16:52:00.000-04:002008-09-30T16:52:00.000-04:00I've not read Rainbow Fish, but I remember The Giv...I've not read Rainbow Fish, but I remember The Giving Tree from years ago when my children were small. The Giving Tree . . . hmmm . . . I haven't read it in so long I don't remember much, but I think we have a garage sale copy around here somewhere. The last time I read it was at some BYU "Happy Fun Camp" (not what it was really called) and the people running the show read it to us like we were three . . . so I just remember being irritated. But if they're reading it to Y Group Leader wannabees at BYU then it must be wonderful, right? *snort*Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1835637200322761822.post-25211535543197660522008-09-27T09:40:00.000-04:002008-09-27T09:40:00.000-04:00Political. And, of course, it teaches that lovely wealth redistribution Mr. Obama is so fond of (Biden would probably argue that the fish was being patriotic).

Was Boortz ranting about the books again?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1835637200322761822.post-26547222788167061922008-09-27T00:16:00.000-04:002008-09-27T00:16:00.000-04:00I really like The Giving Tree. I think it has definite spiritual/religious undertones.

Rainbow Fish is pretty, but it's a thinly disguised book about Socialism. (I'll bet that's what the Obamas read to their kids before they go to bed! ;D )jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15410466813092344539noreply@blogger.com
